with water/alcohol/vaseline first? It's a baby snake only 2 months. I have to hold it down ? It seems difficult. Should I kill the tick first or drown with water or alcohol or vaseline ?

Light a match and blow it out, and touch the backside of the ticks.They should release the snake and you can get them with the tweezers. You will need one match per tick.

Hot needles, and covering it with butter. That's what I do for my dog. Butter clogs it's pores and it dies. on the other hand, ever other person in my neighborhood just pulls em out. I've heard that leaves the head, which could cause lyme disease, so I use hot needles and butter. I love Buddy too much to take that chance.
